Senior Team: Natalie Holness, Ruth Wilkie and Josh Willey – Second Place
Junior Teams: Folkestone Green team of Katie Levett, Victoria Johnson and Danielle Wright – Second Place
Folkestone Purple team of Brooke Amos, Ellie Smissen and Rosie Smissen – Fourth Place
Folkestone Black team of Oliver Daw, Rory Fry and Jack Yorke – Sixth Place

Girls Senior Pairs Championships: Devon Amos and Ashlea Fry – Overall Second, Winners of the Line Throw

Ladies Masters (40-49 years) Championships: Donna Wickens

An outstanding performance by Ashlea Fry and Devon Amos resulted in making them the 2008 UK National Junior Girls Champions. (Lifesaving)

In addition:  For South East Region  – 2008 UK National Regional Champions. ( All those who qualified Ashlea & Devon, Tara & Jaz, Natalie & Ruth, along with the other competitors from our region had their points added together and the SER were the highest placed region ( 12 regions )  in all events which resulted in being the best performing Region of 2008 Finals.

Congratulations:  to three of our younger life savers! Jasmine Beveridge (13) is  Kent Junior Lifesaving Speed Champion & silver medallist in the Skills Championship. Tyler Amos (11) is Kent Junior Lifesaving Skill Champion & a bronze medallist in the Speed Championships and Hannah Smissen (11) was placed 5th in the speed championships and 6thin the skills.
